Rose specializes in the treatment of traumatic stress. She takes a strengths-based and person-centered approach to meeting patients where they are. She has a passion for helping to guide you through your journey towards healing. Rose believes people possess the strengths they need within themselves to heal from trauma as these strengths are what led you to where you are today and helped you survive.
Sometimes things happen in your life that are unexpected, out of your control, and can turn your world upside down. These times can leave you feeling helpless, hopeless, or powerless and they can change the way you view yourself, others, or the world in general.
Trauma can result from many experiences such as but not limited to: childhood physical/sexual/emotional abuse, neglect, poverty, abandonment, bullying, betrayal, assault, personal violence, community violence, serious illness or injury, loss, disaster, racism, combat, coercion, religion, exploitation, and lack of free will.
Trauma can leave you feeling exhausted, confused, disconnected, misunderstood, and can feel like you are losing control. Trauma no longer has to rule your life, even though at times, it may feel like nothing can change. With education, skills, guidance, and support you can begin to see these events in a different way. A way that no longer has control over your mood, behavior, self-worth, and overall health.
Rose has extensive training in the treatment of traumatic stress using evidenced based treatment approaches:
