About Arkansas Psychiatric
Arkansas’ Longest Serving Psychiatric Practice
Founded in 1969, the Arkansas Psychiatric Clinic (APC) is the largest psychiatric private practice in Arkansas. We maintain a highly qualified staff of experienced psychiatrists, licensed clinical social workers and nurses that combined represent over 150 years of clinical experience.
All of our providers have different areas of sub-specialization which allows us to provide each patient with the best possible treatment for their condition.
Expertise
Our psychiatrists span multiple areas of expertise in mental health including:
- Child and adolescent problems like autism and ADHD
- Mood disorders like major depression
- Generalized anxiety
- Bipolar disorder
- PTSD
- Women's issues including postpartum depression
- Chemical dependency
- Forensic and legal cases
As such, treatment options include a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, medication management, consultation/liaison and different forms of therapy.
Many of our physicians also have affiliations with nearby psychiatric hospitals in the case where inpatient hospitalization is necessary.
Our facility in West Little Rock is located in a private cul-de-sac, surrounded by trees and within a fair distance from other professional buildings.
We value your privacy and confidentiality, therefore signage is discrete with plenty of parking away from high traffic areas.
Our staff is professional and friendly, accommodating and timely. We value your time and thus keep wait time to the very minimum.
Our providers and staff pride themselves in knowing most of our patients by name. It is this level of comfort and familiarity that makes patients feel most welcome here.
New Patients
Thank you for choosing APC for your care! In an effort to make your new patient check-in process smooth, please arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment.
We have the new patient forms on our website for you to download, print, and complete prior to the day of your appointment. These forms can also be filled out in our office.
We are credentialed with most insurance companies, but do offer self-pay rates in the event that patients do not have insurance or when we are not credentialed with the insurance.
Please bring a government issued form of identification and your insurance card. Should your insurance contract require a copay, deductible, or co-insurance please be prepared to pay those fees at check-in.
Established patients should check-in 15 minutes prior to their appointment. We are experiencing delays due to COVID-19 screenings at our office.
We value the time of our patients. Therefore, our providers follow certain cancellation and no show policies to ensure that everyone is seen on time.
In the event of needing to reschedule your appointment or when running behind your scheduled time, please notify APC as soon as possible. We keep an up to date waitlist in an effort to accommodate all of our patients when cancellations occur.
Please call our Front Office for any questions at (501) 448-0060.
Financial Agreement Policy
All co-payments, co-insurances, or deductibles are due at the time of service.
Please understand that financial responsibility for your bill rests with the individual and not an insurance company or government agency.
Our office will call to verify your benefits, but all insurance companies issue a disclaimer that just because you have benefits, this does not guarantee payment. We obtain the insurance information from each patient, but you are ultimately responsible for all charges not covered by insurance.
Should your insurance company require authorization for your initial visit, please know that is the patient’s responsibility. We will not be able to see you without that information. We will file your claims for you.
Should your insurance change, it is your responsibility to notify our office before the next visit so we can verify eligibility and benefits prior to being seen.
Remember to bring any new insurance cards with you so we can make a copy for our records.
