Sarah Lowery is a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to helping individuals and families find healing, clarity, and growth through a collaborative and compassionate approach. Originally from Saline County, Arkansas, Sarah brings deep local roots and a rich educational background to her work. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Counseling from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, as well as a Master of Public Administration from Arkansas State University.
Her clinical practice is grounded in trauma-informed care and person-centered therapy. Sarah believes that healing starts with creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where individuals feel seen, heard, and empowered. She specializes in family therapy and deeply values the impact of relationships on emotional health. With a flexible and evolving therapeutic style, Sarah is committed to continuously expanding her toolbox of interventions to meet each client’s unique needs and life circumstances.
Sarah is especially excited to be a part of Arkansas Psychiatric Clinic (APC), where the whole-person approach to treatment and a culture of collaboration resonates with her own values. She believes in thoughtful, comprehensive care that not only supports patients holistically but also nurtures and values the professionals providing that care. The opportunity to grow within a supportive and employee-focused environment is one she deeply appreciates.
In her work, Sarah enjoys connecting with a wide range of individuals across all ages and backgrounds. Whether working with children just beginning to understand their emotions or older adults navigating complex life transitions, she finds great fulfillment in tailoring her approach to support each person’s journey. Her sessions are grounded in genuine curiosity, mutual respect, and open dialogue. Patients can expect a therapeutic space that feels more like a meaningful conversation—one where they are encouraged to bring their whole selves, ask questions, and actively engage in their growth.
As Sarah returns to Arkansas and re-establishes her roots in the community, she looks forward to continuing her work with individuals and families, offering the care, tools, and support they need to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and hope.
