Billy Henley, LCSW, ACSW, MPA
Billy received his Master of Social Work in 2010 from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and his Master of Public Administration in 2017 from Arkansas State University. He also attended Ouachita Baptist University, where he played basketball. A tried-and-true Arkansan, Billy joined Arkansas Psychiatric after being the Director of Clinical Services at Rivendell Behavioral Health Services of Arkansas.
Billy treats adolescents and adults with a broad range of concerns, ranging from depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma ,to stress management, interpersonal and intrapersonal conflict, and family therapy. He uses Focused Acceptance and Commitment therapy (FACT), Brief Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT)to create a tailored clinical approach that is unique to each client.
Previous to joining Arkansas Psychiatric, Billy was a Behavioral Health Consultant with the Arkansas Health Group; a Cardiovascular Intensive Care and Heart Transplant Social Worker at Arkansas Children's Hospital; and the director of the Saline County Clinic. His career has taken him into school-based, primary care, and medical social work settings, as well as clinical supervisory roles, and behind the lectern in a teaching role.
He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and obtained the credential of the Academy of Certified Social Workers (ACSW), a professional credential providing “recognition to those who have met national standards for higher levels of experience and knowledge." He is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the National Association of Social Workers.
