Dr. Flynn earned the degree of Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) from the Wright State University School of Professional Psychology in Dayton, Ohio in 2004 and has been a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Arkansas since 2005. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, community mental health centers, and correctional facilities. She has been practicing at Arkansas Psychiatric Clinic since June of 2012.
Dr. Flynn sees adult clients at APC and has experience in treating many different psychological conditions including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and adjustments disorders. She also enjoys doing family and couples therapy. Dr. Flynn’s therapy style is rooted in both Cognitive-Behavioral Theory and Humanistic/Existential Theories. She believes that the most important determinant of a successful therapeutic experience for the client is the ability of the therapist and the client to develop a strong working relationship built on trust. Dr. Flynn is currently in-network with multiple insurance providers including Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, QualChoice, UMR, Cigna, and Medicare.
